CuppaPug, the wildly popular London-based pug café, is making its Texas debut, bringing lattes, laughs, and lots of lovable snorts to Stonebrook Parkway. It might be time to officially forgive Southwest Airlines for dramatically changing its seating and luggage policies last year. This week, the airlines announced they will start flying to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands in early 2026. St. Thomas is the first of three new destinations for 2026 that Southwest expects to announce this summer.

Yes, like the 1989 Romantic Comedy starring John Cusack and Ione Skye — only completely different. We love hearing from our subscribers. Anything and everything. Pro or con. Random or in reply.

So, when we received this note from a Frisco foodie, we had to share. She’s keeping a pulse on the local restaurant scene — specifically, any category other than fast casual. Because we all appreciate a solid casual spot, but this is Frisco — we have a reputation to uphold. And Frisco resident Judy understands that:
“I try to keep up on new restaurants in the area. I like to visit them after they’ve been open a while to get the kinks out. We’re very much looking forward to trying Musume. After living in Tokyo for a few years, I’m always interested in authentic Japanese food. There’s a nice Japanese restaurant nearby called 'Blue Fin' on Main Street. We have a favorite 'go-to' restaurant in Plano... 'Bulla Gastrobar'. We go for Tapas and their Paella. I wish there were restaurants here that offer the 'real deal' Spanish food. 'Perry's' is our favorite restaurant in this area. The food and service is always impeccable. I think stories on Chefs in the area that have been on the Food Network would draw attention to them and their restaurants, also. There is WB's Table. His food is good, however I wish his menu was larger. Looking forward to the replacement of 'City Works', we always enjoyed going there! Anyway, that is my two cents worth! Keep up the good work, and looking forward to any and all hot tips on where to eat.”
Okay now it’s YOUR TURN to SAY ANYTHING. Give us your Frisco feels. What do you love? What do you wish to change? What has your attention lately? If you take a moment to tell us, we just might take a moment to publish your thoughts (cited with first name only).

Frisco Famous
One of our loyal Frisco FYI subscribers shared this fun tidbit with us!
Meet Jerry, the pint-sized pup from our very own Frisco, Texas, who just popped his way into the Guinness World Records — one bottle cap at a time! 🐶💥 What started as a quirky habit of chewing on recycled water bottles turned into a jaw-dropping talent: Jerry can expertly remove bottle caps using just his mouth and paws, all with the precision of a seasoned pro.

His record-breaking feat isn’t just adorable — it’s a celebration of creativity, resilience, and the magic that happens when you turn playtime into purpose. Once overlooked, Jerry is now a global sensation, proving you don’t need fancy toys or a pedigree to make history. Just a few bottles, a lot of heart, and a whole lot of tail-wagging determination!
Jerry’s official Guinness World Record achievement is: “the most plastic bottle caps removed by a dog in one minute is 11, and was achieved by Jerry, the dachshund and his handler, Sathya Priya Easwaran, on June 22, 2025.”
