Weekly Flavor Fest
Craving wagyu beef but not wagyu prices? Dee Lincoln, the “Queen of Steaks” has you covered at Dee’s Table – Burgers and More. Just a few doors down from its “mama,” this smaller spot blends casual dining with upscale flair, showcasing Dee’s Louisiana roots through gourmet wagyu burgers, salads, shrimp tacos, and po’boys. The star of the menu? The Double J Sandwich, a tribute to Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, featuring tenderloin, tomato, red onion, remoulade, and arugula.

The latest whispers and speculations about exciting local developments, from potential new biz openings to upcoming community projects and events everyone is talking about.
The Great Starbucks Panic: Many coffee lovers are in a state of panic this week as they watched their Starbucks baristas walk out, sans red cup and green apron. The strike, which began at 6:00 AM on Monday, left thousands of people without their beloved morning brews. “The holiday season should be magical at Starbucks, but for too many of us, there’s a darker side to the peppermint mochas and gingerbread lattes,” said one longtime Starbucks employee. 😬😬 So far, our local Frisco baristas seem content, so we don’t need to get our green tea in a tizzy. Meanwhile, social media is abuzz with hashtags like #RedForBread and #StickItToStarbucks.
Holy Crep: Chef Scott Hoffner, owner of Didi’s Downton, is set to open LottieBirds in the Rail District next month. While Henry’s ice cream and Starship Bagels will be featured, the real star is going to be the crepe menu. These thin little golden delights are the perfect canvas for culinary creativity, both savory and sweet. How about a Philly Cheesesteak crepe or a Cuban? On the sweeter side, how about a Churro crepe? We know Didi’s was named after Chef’s mother… Where do you think the name LottieBird comes from? If you know, leave a comment on our latest social post.
New Besties: The Revel Patio Grill and Mudbugs Bar & Grill have launched Frisco’s first dual-concept restaurant. The innovative venue will combine the sports bar and live music scene The Revel is known for with Mudbugs’ Cajun cuisine and classic American favorites. We haven’t yet learned the official name of this new pairing.
Out-of-Office Assist
We hope you can take a day or two off from work before the end of the year. If you plan to be O-O-O, we’d like to challenge you to up your email auto-reply game. Here are a couple of ideas:
Thanks for your email. I'm currently out of the office, celebrating the New Year by trying to remember my resolutions from last year (and probably failing at them again). 🎉 I'll be back on [return date], hopefully with a renewed sense of purpose and a slightly smaller holiday belly. If your matter is urgent, please contact [colleague's name]. If it's not urgent, feel free to join me in my New Year's resolution of procrastination. Wishing you a fantastic New Year filled with joy, laughter, and fewer emails!
Thanks for reaching out. I'm currently out of the office, ringing in the New Year with a mix of celebration and confusion about what day it is. 🥳 I'll be back on [return date], hopefully with some new resolutions and a lot of great stories (or at least some funny ones). If you need immediate assistance, please contact [colleague's name]. If not, I'll get back to you as soon as I can, once I've figured out how to work off all the holiday treats.

From rec to pro, there’s always, always (literally always) a game to catch in “Sports City USA.”
The stage is set in Frisco for the 2025 FCS Championship game between #2 North Dakota State and #1 Montana State on Jan 6. (Yeah, we know. It’s impossible not to hear “Jan 6” and not think of that Jan 6, but we don’t get political over here, so moving on…) You might still be able to snag a seat to watch the game at Toyota Stadium. If not, you can watch it online and yell and shriek when you see someone you know in the stands.
