Welcome to our special bonus edition of Frisco FYI - the ultimate guide to Spring Break 2025! If you're staying in North Texas during Frisco ISD’s break from March 17 to March 21, 2025, there’s no shortage of family-friendly activities to fill your days.
Here’s our categorized guide to some of the best local options and road trip ideas to make your staycation-y Spring Break memorable!
Top 5 Things to Do in Frisco During Spring Break
🎪Circus Vazquez: Catch the excitement under the big top as Circus Vazquez showcases an awe-inspiring, thrilling (and affordable) live circus experience that’s fun for the entire family. Catch the all-new show at Riders Field, March 14-30.
🤩 2025 Texas Pinball Festival: Held annually in Frisco at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center, the Texas Pinball Festival is back the weekend of March 21-23. The event will feature more than 400 pinball machines, classic video games, and other game room goodies set up on free play for everyone to enjoy the entire weekend. Leave your quarters at home! Children under 5 get in free; ages 5-12 are discounted.
🏀Texas Legends and ⚽FC Dallas: Two of our Frisco-based professional sports teams will play at home during spring break! Grab dinner beforehand, and make it a fun, family outing.
👾Monster Golf: This glow-in-the-dark mini golf course is populated with animated “monsters” that move, talk, and tell silly jokes - all under the glow of backlights. Additionally, this unique venue features popular music, disco balls, moving concert lighting, games, and other entertainment.
📽️Movie Night at PGA: Every Friday night (weather permitting), PGA hosts a movie night on the lawn in front of the giant screen. Bring lawn blankets, leashed pups, and your favorite picnic fare. During Spring Break, you can catch The Parent Trap (March 14) and Monsters, Inc. (March 21).

If you're open to a short drive, here are some great destinations within a reasonable distance of North Texas:
🌊 Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront: Overlooking Lake Ray Hubbard, this resort has lakeside dining and poolside service and is within walking distance of Rockwall Harbor’s shopping and entertainment options.
🐺 Great Wolf Lodge: Known for its massive indoor water park, Great Wolf Lodge is a hit with kids and parents alike. Beyond the water park, the lodge offers interactive games, themed suites, and nightly story times.
🛶 Broken Bow, OK: Known for its beautiful scenery, Broken Bow offers hiking, fishing, and beautiful cabin rentals. Beavers Bend State Park is a highlight for outdoor lovers. It can get pretty pricey during peak seasons, but last-minute cabin deals are out there!
🏡 Carlton Landing, Lake Eufaula, OK: A charming lakefront community with vacation rentals, fishing, and community events, Carlton Landing is a peaceful getaway with a small-town feel (seaside beach town vibes, but on a lake).

🏞️ Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa – San Antonio: A family-friendly resort with a lazy river and 5-acre water park (in the summer), golf, and spa services. It's a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Bonus, San Antonio is home to the Alamo, the Riverwalk, Sea World, and Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
🌲 Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Bastrop: Located along the Colorado River near Austin, this resort offers horseback riding, zip-lining, and an on-site water park with a lazy river (in the summer).
🚣♀️ Texas Tubes in New Braunfels, TX: Tubing the Comal River is one of the best and cheapest Spring Break destinations for students, families, and anyone on a budget. It’s important to check the river levels and up-to-date info online before you go.
🍹Margaritaville Lake Resort - Lake Conroe: Enjoy lakeside fun with paddleboarding, water slides (again, in the summer), and themed dining. It’s a laid-back, tropical-style escape close to home.

🌴Kalahari Resorts & Conventions – Round Rock, TX: Just outside of Austin, Kalahari Resorts features America’s largest indoor water park along with an adventure park that includes climbing walls, mini-golf, and bowling. It’s a perfect destination for a full weekend escape.
🌊 Epic Waters - Grand Prairie: Spring Break is the perfect time for all-day family fun at Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark, no hotel needed. It’s a great daytime excursion where kids of all ages can splash, slide, and play under one roof. No matter the weather outside, it’s always a perfect 85 degrees inside.
🩱The Waterpark at the Villages - Tyler: Located on the grounds of Holiday Inn Club Vacations® Villages Resort, this 19,000-square-foot, glass-enclosed recreational area is climate-controlled for year-round fun. It features a lazy river, waterslides, a wave pool, and many other attractions. Plus, Tyler is a nice town to visit anyway, known for its rose gardens, murals, and other outdoor attractions.
🛝The Cove in Little Elm: Super close to home, this is a great place to meet up with friends during spring break! Enjoy water slides, a lazy river, splash zones, and a snack shack, all in a climate-controlled environment.
