Hello Frisco friends! Labor Day weekend is here, and with schools closed on Monday and Tuesday, it’s the perfect time to soak up the extra sunshine and explore all the fun our city has to offer. In this edition, we’ve rounded up can’t-miss events, spotlighted a buzzworthy new restaurant at The Star, and sniffed out the best dog parks for your furry companions. Top 5 Things to Do This Weekend
🏈 Jerry Jones Classic: Saturday, Aug. 30, 12–4 PM at Ford Center, kick off football season Texas-style as Odessa Permian takes on Plano Senior in the iconic Jerry Jones Classic. Tickets are just $15, parking is free, and the bragging rights? Priceless.
🎶 Y2K Turn of the Century Party Band: Friday, Aug. 30, 7–9 PM in the PGA District,
throw it back to the hottest hits of the '90s and 2000s with this high-energy, free outdoor concert! Just bring a blanket (leave the lawn chairs at home), and get ready to dance like it’s 1999!
🐾 Paws in the Pool: Saturday, Sept. 6 at Frisco Water Park, when the humans clear out, the pups dive in! This annual tail-wagging splash fest lets dogs rule the pool for one day only, with separate swim times by size and a photo contest to show off their best doggy paddle. Tickets are $12 per person and per pup—don’t forget the leash and the swimsuit!
