Wait, what??
A few people are wondering who’s newly running the show over here at Lifestyle Frisco (LSF). Here’s the scoop: LSF was founded in 2013 by a powerhouse Frisco couple and it quickly became the premier source for engaging and informative digital content tailored to Frisco residents. Fast forward, the platform took a little hiatus but is now BACK under the ownership of dynamic Frisco entrepreneurs, Daniel and Carrie Himel. Check out the official press release here.

🎅Santa Pub Party at the Rail Yard: You thought you missed your chance to attend this event, but it was rained out and rescheduled so you have another shot. Grab your Santa-wear and head to The Rail Yard this Saturday, December 14th at 7:00 p.m.
🎹Holiday Dueling Pianos at PGA: This Friday night, December 13th, pack a lawn blanket or two and head to PGA Frisco for a sing-along show featuring crowd favorites with holiday tunes mixed in.
🐧Holiday Onesie Party: Truck Yard is making all of your holiday dreams come true by hosting a party at which you can don a holiday onesie while sipping a cocktail. Sounds pretty fantastic to us. The day-long affair is Saturday, December 14th and we heard Santa Sasquatch is coming. We’re unsure who that is, but he sounds like someone we want to meet.
🚗✨The Light Park: We admit, by the light of day, this place looks less than festive (creepy, even?) but don’t let that sway you from driving through at night when it comes to life with millions of dazzling lights, synced perfectly to the rhythm of our festive tunes!
Weekly Flavor Fest

What’s Trending
In a world where TikTok dances have become the universal language of expression, the potential ban on TikTok feels like someone just hit the pause button on our favorite playlist. Imagine the collective gasp of millions as they realize their meticulously choreographed routines might never see the light of day.
For the Gen Z crowd, it's like being told their Wi-Fi is down indefinitely. Panic ensues, and suddenly, everyone is scrambling to find the next big thing. Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts are rubbing their hands together, ready to welcome the influx of displaced TikTokers.
Meanwhile, parents everywhere are secretly relieved. "Finally," they think, "no more random dance breaks in the middle of dinner." But let's be honest, they'll miss the entertainment too. After all, who doesn't enjoy a good cat video or a clever lip-sync?
In the end, whether TikTok stays or goes, one thing is certain: the internet will always find a way to keep us entertained, one viral trend at a time

Sports Spotlight
From rec to pro, there’s always, always (literally always) a game to catch in “Sports City USA.”
The Frisco Bowl: Back for the eighth year, The Frisco Bowl is hosting #25 Memphis (10-2), representing the American Athletic Conference, and West Virginia (6-6), representing the Big 12 Conference, on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 8 p.m. at Toyota Stadium.
Fingers crossed, the weather will be mild and we won’t have to rename this to “The Freezing Bowl.” Tickets are available online, but if you’d rather sit in your recliner, you can catch the game on ESPN and ESPN+.
Did you hear…?
…that a new 70’s-inspired restaurant is opening at The Boardwalk?
Whether you're a fan of the '70s or simply looking for a unique dining experience, Seager & Sons' blend of nostalgic charm and contemporary cuisine makes us want to watch re-runs of "Good Times."
Opening today along The Boardwalk at Granite Park, this 7,500-square-ft space aims to transport guests back to the groovy era with its retro ambiance and nostalgic menu. Imagine eating hand-stretched pizza and crispy fried chicken while listening to vinyl tunes in an avocado green booth. Yes, please!
Around the Metroplex
Although we’re proud of our Frisco-centric-ness, sometimes we go a little rogue to keep our pulse on cool happenings south of the Sam Rayburn.
We’re gonna take a wild guess that many of you have lived here for years but never experienced the Reunion Tower Observation Deck. It’s a must! From 470 feet up you’ll experience breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views, a free digital photo, and an indoor/outdoor observation deck that lets you see for miles in any direction. (Hint: an extra special experience gift for someone this Christmas or a romantic date idea.) Bonus, did you know there’s a restaurant up there?

Chat said what?
Exploring the depths of Chat GPT’s creativity one prompt at a time.
We asked Chat GPT to tell us a funny story about the sports-obsessed parents of Frisco and this is what it churned out. (Although the Lifestyle Frisco team identifies as sports-obsessed parents, we’re choosing not to take offense.)
The Great Frisco Turf War
Once upon a time in Frisco, Texas, a land where every corner has a field and every field has a champion, the parents decided that their kids' sports achievements were the measure of family honor. Soccer moms and football dads turned into sideline strategists, and every weekend was a gladiator match of athletic prowess—with snacks.
One fine Saturday, the town was buzzing with excitement. It was the day of the ultimate Frisco Sports Showdown. The soccer parents claimed their turf at Warren Sports Complex, the baseball crew staked out B.F. Phillips Community Park, and the FFL families held a tailgate that rivaled the Super Bowl. But someone had double-booked Bacchus, and chaos ensued.
It started when the peewee football moms arrived at Field 12, only to find the middle school soccer dads had already set up their camp chairs. Mrs. Brenda Haversham, queen of the touchline, declared, “We booked this field fair and square! My Jimmy has been practicing his spiral toss all week!”
Coach Dan, leader of the soccer squad, fired back, “Not today, Brenda. Liam’s footwork is the stuff of legends, and this field belongs to us!”
In minutes, a crowd gathered. Lacrosse dads joined forces with the baseball moms, while the cheerleading moms—armed with glitter pom-poms—tried to mediate.
Then came the Director of Parks and Rec, who arrived on her golf cart, waving a white flag made from an old referee's jersey. She proposed a Frisco Parent Pentathlon to settle the dispute:
A race to find parking at the busiest sports complex.
A water balloon dodgeball game (with juice boxes for ammo).
The ultimate challenge: identifying the owners of lost water bottles, balls, and shin guards piled up in the trunks of volunteer coaches’ vehicles.
In the end, it wasn’t about the trophies or bragging rights. The parents had so much fun competing that they forgot about the fields entirely. They laughed, bonded, and promised never to fight over sports turf again.
Well, at least until next weekend.
