On Monday, the board of trustees voted 4-3 against closing the school at the end of the 2024-25 school year, seeking additional information from a demographer. The demographer's report, costing $55,000, is expected to take four to six weeks. The board will reconsider the closure in June, with potential timelines for closing the school after the 2024-25 or 2026-27 school years.

While You Wait
Maybe you’re in the school carpool line or you’re “waiting for the host to start the meeting” — whatever you’re doing, we have some quick hits for you:
Try: Google says that searches for “press-on nails” in the US are up 10% since February. Amazon is on top of it.
Play: If you’ve ever stepped on Legos and shouted expletives, you need to snag these squishy, smooshy blocks instead.
Listen: Add some humor to your commute with the Smartless podcast. Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett have interviewed some pretty big-name actors recently (always).
Read: Before the Internet was crazy fast and AirBnB was a thing, those who dreamed of backpacking around Europe were loyal followers of Rick Steves — author of Europe Through the Back Door and other essential travel guides. Catch his memoir: On the Hippie Trail: Istanbul to Kathmandu and the Making of a Travel Writer
