With frigid temperatures and possible precipitation in the forecast this week, maybe you’re looking for the best source for accurate weather reporting. First — sorry to disappoint, but “accurate weather reporting” isn’t a thing in Texas. The weather is bananas and unpredictable. Still, trained professionals give it their best-educated attempt and these two guys are pretty popular:
Steve McCauley: This is who you follow for “Joe Six Pack”-type" weather reporting. We have no idea if Steve enjoys a six-pack, but the point is, he’s a former WFAA-meteorologist-turned-professor who has amassed a lot of loyal fans on social media who trust no one but him, come winter or tornado season.
Pete Delkus: If you’ve lived in DFW for a while, you know good ol’ reliable Pete. If you want equal parts solid weather reporting and quippy entertainment, follow Pete on X/Twitter.
