Real quick, a couple of things:
The forecast today: Rain. Lots and lots of rain. ☔
Also, if you like food, you’re in luck, because there are not one but TWO good foodie events on the calendar this weekend! However, if you dislike country music, we’re so sorry, because the city is going full-on country this week in anticipation of the ACM Awards at the Ford Center! Events upon events, themed menus, and live music. Grab your boots and let’s go!

Beyond Frisco
Alright, alright, alright! 🌟 Loyal native Texan Matthew McConaughey is championing a bill to boost film incentives in Texas. With his signature charm, McConaughey testified before the Texas House, pushing for billions in incentives to make Texas the Hollywood of the South. He even brought along his buddy Woody Harrelson for some extra star power! McConaughey's pitch? It's a "damn good ROI" for Texas, promising to turn every dollar into $4.69 for the state's economy. “One of the only regrets of my 33 year career in film and television is not making more of my films here in Texas.” 🤠🎬

Try: SomiSom’s soft serve and Taiyaki shop in Frisco is a fresh take on the typical frozen-yogurt-in-a-cup thing. Try it at 9292 Warren Pkwy, Suite 260.
Buy: Introducing the Slate Truck, a $20,000 electric vehicle (after federal incentives) that only seats two, only does 150 miles on a charge, only comes in gray, and the only way to listen to music while driving is if you bring your phone and a Bluetooth speaker.
