The latest whispers and speculations about exciting local developments, from potential new biz openings to upcoming community projects and events everyone is talking about. If you have scoop, please send our editor a note!
In case you missed it (although that’s highly unlikely given the spirited commentary all over social media), the results are in from the run-off election last weekend. Things got a smidge contentious, so our guess is that everyone involved is exhaling and ready to move on. The results? Burt Thakur unseated incumbent Tammy Meinershagen, becoming the first Indian American to serve on the Frisco City Council. Meanwhile, Jared Elad earned the other available Council seat that Gopal Ponangi had his eye on. Thank you to everyone who invested their time, resources, and heart to run and serve the community in this capacity.
Renovations are underway at many Frisco ISD campuses this summer. As campuses age and enrollment has leveled off, the district's focus has shifted from building new facilities to maintaining current ones.
Your selfie game is about to get very colorful. The vibrant and interactive Selfie Studio: The Color Theory experience is making its colorful debut at Stonebriar Centre, bringing four weeks of bold, immersive fun in the Nordstrom Court from June 14 through July 13. The activation is free to the public and will be open during regular mall hours.
This unique pop-up experience invites guests to explore the connection between color, psychology, and personality in an engaging, photo-ready environment.

Small Biz Spotlight
Nestled in the scenic Copperas Branch Park, just a short drive from Frisco, AquaBeats is not your average kayaking experience. This is sunset paddling meets floating dance party, and it’s every bit as magical as it sounds.
Picture this: You arrive just before sunset, and a row of LED-lit kayaks is waiting for you. Each guest receives their own Bluetooth JBL speaker, allowing you to stream your favorite tunes as you paddle into the twilight.
AquaBeats is fun, unique, and definitely one of the most Instagrammable things you can do in the Frisco area.
