  • Why wait for a driver when your dinner can drop from the sky? Frisco just got a futuristic upgrade with DoorDash and Flytrex’s new drone delivery service, zipping hot meals and cool treats straight to your backyard. Operating daily from 8 am to 9:30 pm, these high-flying couriers serve over 100,000 residents and can carry up to 6.6 pounds of deliciousness—with even bigger drones on the way.

  • Break out your slap bracelets and frosted tips—FC Dallas is throwing it back to the '90s on July 19! As part of their 30th anniversary bash, they’re hosting a totally rad night at Toyota Stadium, complete with retro vibes, the debut of a new kit, and a legendary reunion of Dallas Burn icons who helped shape the club’s early glory days.

  • In a move that’ll make homeowners happier than finding a $20 bill in last winter’s coat, Frisco officials just gave the green light to boost the homestead exemption to the state’s max of 20%. It applies to all homeowners who call their property “home sweet home” as of January 1 of the tax year.

  • Sorry, kids, but cellphones are officially banned in all K-12 schools. When Texas public school students return to campus in August, they’ll be prohibited from using cellphones, smart watches, and other personal communication devices throughout the school day. Abbott signed House Bill 1481 into law on June 20, giving school districts 90 days to adopt new electronic device policies, including disciplinary measures for students who violate the cellphone ban.

👸What’s soaring higher than a cheerleader’s high kick? Their paycheck! The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders—aka “America’s Sweethearts”—just scored a jaw-dropping 400% raise, with veteran members now reportedly earning around $150,000 a year. That’s a major leap from the days of $15-an-hour practices.

🥙Attention foodies who aren’t afraid to leave Frisco for dinner — Elia Greek Tavern will open in the Bishop Arts District this summer. The Mediterranean seafood restaurant will occupy the former Nora Restaurant and Bar space and serve fusion cuisine. Meanwhile, we hear that Winsome Prime is shaking things up at Trinity Groves, bringing a fresh spark to the area’s ongoing revival. Newly opened just a couple of months ago, this upscale spot serves up bold dishes like Hawaiian rib-eye, snapper Orleans, collard green risotto, and chicken royale — plus a sushi selection exclusive to the Dallas location.

🛍️ Lululemon is officially over the “dupe” drama and taking Costco to court. The athleisure giant claims the wholesale retailer is selling lookalike versions of its pricey bestsellers—like $128 ABC pants and Scuba hoodies—for a fraction of the price under the Kirkland label. Lulu even says Costco copied its signature “Tidewater Teal” color. With Gen Z’s love for dupes booming on TikTok, this lawsuit could be a major showdown between brand loyalty and budget fashion.
